The long awaited book is in the home strait now and will soon be with the printers. We are hoping that we can get most pages sponsored by businesses and families as printing is costly.

Minor Championship

St Manchan’s will contest the Minor Championship final on Sunday next in Carrick. The game is the curtain raiser to the Intermediate and Senior Finals so there is an early start. Check fixtures and come out and support.

Recent Engagement

Congratulations to Paul Early and Aideen McGarry who got engaged last week in Australia. We wish them every happiness in their future life together.

John Sheridan RIP

The Club extend deepest sympathy to the family of John Sheridan who died last week. His daughter Marie was instrumental in starting ladies football in Mohill along with Tom Reynolds.

Loughlin Óg Burns Fund

“The Looney Hoppers” namely Loughlin Burns and Denis Doonan are always generous to good causes and when Mohill Club did “Mohill does Strictly” they helped out enormously. At present Loughlin needs our support as he has a sick baby, Loughlin jnr with a condition that will need costly major surgery, so a fund has been set up, the Loughlin Burns Junior Fund. A fundraising event to support Loughlin Óg on his journey will take place Friday night Oct 7 in Spirit Bar Mohill. David Donnelly, Bobby Shanley, Alan Farry, and Tom Moran are providing their musical talents free of charge for the night.

Sean Clarke and Michéal Harte are undertaking a sponsored cycle from Mizen Head to Malin Head starting 15th Oct. Sponsorship cards are in all businesses in Mohill and surrounding areas. For those who can't make the Benifit Night on Friday, Spirit Bar are hosting a coffee morning on Sat 8th Oct from 10am to 2pm. All support is greatly appreciated for this worthy cause.

Under 12

The Under 12s had a nice win over St Mary’s No 2 team on Monday last. The team and scorers was: Luke Bohan, Shane Mulligan, Diarmuid Casey, Jack Rowley, Thomas Mcnabola 1-0, Daniel Scott, James Foy 0-2, Eoghan Duignan 1-1, Senan Curran, Matthew Murphy 1-6, Aidan Mulligan, Adam McGuinness 1-2, Michael McDonagh,. Subs, Harry Boyle, Brandon Logan, Liam Flynn, Cillian Walpole, Daniel Beirne, Blaine McCrann, Thomas MayockKeith McCaffrey,Niall Mulligan, Oscar Moj. We wish a speedy recovery to Shane Duignan our star defender who fractured his arm and will be sorely missed.
